DC Gard

DC Gard is a tightly braided cover construction of Dyneema® fiber that is spliced onto the strength member to protect it from wear and abrasion in specific areas. Designed for use in applications like tug operations, where frequent handling and use put a premium on rope protection and resistance to snagging. For vessels where frequent mooring operations are the norm, DC Gard provides maximum protection for working ropes.

DC Moor-Gard has been redesigned and optimized for lower operating temperatures and longer life for your mooring lines. This new patent-pending design is modeled after Samson's robust Turbo series of covers for jacketed ropes and is made of 100% Dyneema® fiber. It features Samson's proprietary Saturn coating for enhanced abrasion resistance and reduced friction between the rope and chafe guard.

SATURN DYNALENE

Saturn Dynalene, made of 100% pure Dyneema® fiber, is a unique product that protects the strength member from abrasion, yet allows the rope to be easily inspected for both internal and external fiber wear. Saturn coating enhances abrasion resistance and helps reduce friction between the rope and the chafe guard. Saturn Dynalene is permanently spliced over the rope and acts as a sacrificial cover. It is fully repairable in the field, does not absorb water, and floats. It is easy to install anywhere on the rope.

TC GARD

TC Gard is a tightly braided cover construction of Technora® fiber that is spliced onto the strength member to protect it from wear and abrasion in specific areas. Designed for use in regions where extreme heat is an issue, in applications like tug operations, where frequent handling and use put a premium on rope protection and resistance to snagging. For vessels where frequent mooring operations are the norm, TC Gard provides maximum protection for working ropes.

TECHNOLENE

The construction of Technolene is similar to Dynalene, but the fiber composition is Technora®, an aramid fiber with very high heat resistance. Technolene should be specified where synthetic ropes are subject to both abrasion and high temperatures from reflected heat sources or friction.
